But it seems like all the new laptops or this way so I will probably have to get a mouse to help me with that situation which I'm not looking forward to. It has a piece that appears to be one, but doesn't actually function. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes.

I got it home started it up, left it on the charger for about 6 hours. Which it says in the description when looking at the details of the laptop.

Lenovo IdeaPad 330 15 Inexpensive 15.6 Laptop

Comments: I was looking for a laptop with great performance, a very good screen and the ability to upgrade easily. The drive is very fast for a conventional drive but in a quiet space, the drive activity noise can be annoying. As for the fan, for people who like me have a work space that is dead quiet, this could be an annoyance. It seems that the fan never turns off but for the speed of this laptop, it's a compromise I'm willing to live with. Your certified technician could also replace the standard hard drive with a compatible solid state hard drive. Check with your certified technician for your options. I ordered this computer online for school and within an hour was able to pick it up at the Best Buy near me. First and foremost, the computer has a great sleek, and clean look to it which I loved. The screen is bigger than I thought it would be, my old laptop only had a screen size of 11'' which was fine, but this is definitely an incredible upgrade. I have watched Netflix on it for a few hours and ideapad 330 15 quality is definitely worth the price I paid. It took a few minutes to finish the initial set up but thats to be expected as it had to update a few things. I bought it a couple days ago and it runs like ideapad 330 15 dream. Its just the right speed for me, and I need a decent speed with all the online school work, web surfing, research, and occasional recreational use like Netflix and light video gaming. It needs recharged within about 4 or so hours of constant use. Which it says in the description when looking at the details of the laptop. However it charges up relatively fast so it really isnt an issue for me, just the only small downside I was able to find in order to give an overall review that wasn't straight gooshing about this laptop. Long story short, I love just about everything about this laptop and the price was extremely reasonable. This is my first Lenovo Brand and I am definitely impressed with the quality of their electronics thus far. This is a hard review to write, as the problem we had wasn't Lenovo's fault at the outset. In short, Windows 10 stopped booting after a Microsoft Update - Windows automatically removed the update, but the damage was done. Fortunately, Lenovo laptops come with a Novo button that's supposed to boot a system recovery utility that would have restored Windows to its factory state fine by us, since we hadn't had a chance to install anything yet. These laptops don't come with any restore media, so Lenovo offered to send one to me by mail when I called for help I couldn't get them to send it to me electronically, and 3 business days' wait for my daughter's Christmas present was more than I could bear. But in a day where people can download entire movies in minutes, why not send me what I need via the Internet. One thing I would add, when you buy any Windows 10 computer, especially if you don't get recovery media with it, before you do anything else you should create a Windows recovery drive - it's unique to the computer model, so you can't go to a different computer and make one if the one you want to fix won't boot. You can make a general Windows 10 recovery drive using a Microsoft utility, but it's limited in what it can do, and didn't help at all in our case. It was a bit smaller in the screen but had a better feel than the Lenovo which had its mouse buttons built into the touchpad and overall felt cheap and plastic. But I can't give the Lenovo a good rating if the recovery utility doesn't work, even though the issue we had very likely wasn't Lenovo's fault. At some point we'll manually apply Windows updates, but only when we've got the time and resources to deal with bluescreens. Had we done the same on the Lenovo, I could have left a more relevant review. But the Novo utility not working was a ship-sinker for me. Finally, kudos to Best Buy for allowing us to make an easy exchange, no questions asked, and very quickly to boot. I'm glad I bought there No, I would not recommend this to a friend I bought this laptop out of necessity. I have a really nice MacBook that I bought last year and have been using that for college but as I've gotten closer to my degree I had to get a Windows computer to be compatible ideapad 330 15 applications needed for accounting. I got it delivered on Thursday and have put all my stuff on it so I can function. I was surprised at just how quick and usable this laptop is. I was expecting this thing to be a dog but completely stock it is fast enough. If you buy this laptop you'll be pleasantly surprised at what it has to offer, especially at this price point. The screen is alright, nothing stand out like my Retina display on the Mac but definitely good enough. Battery life is meh, but it only has a 2 cell battery so that's to be expected. If you're on the go then turn down your settings and use the battery saver. If you're on the fence about buying this cheap laptop, do it. To maximize battery life, try changing your power management setting to a more conservative one. Obviously, you can tell form the price and specs that this is not meant to be a high-end machine. And by that, I mean that if you're looking for a gaming laptop and whatnot, it might not work for you. I read all the negative reviews I find these more beneficial than positive ones before I made my purchase. The main complaint that I saw repeat was how slow the laptop is. I can tell you that this is a Windows 10 issue on this laptop. Because Lenovo does not provide a firmware update tool for Linux, I kept the windows installation which comes preloaded to make it easier to update the firmware whenever there is an update and there will be one when you first use the laptop. I noticed how annoying and lagging performance was. However, I waited until Ideapad 330 15 installed the Linux based system that I was going to actually use before deciding whether this is machine related to Windows related. The machine is perfectly fine and performs well. Battery life is about 4 hours it's a small capacity battery as indicated in the product description. The fan noise is audible, but it doesn't go too loud as I expected it to based on reviews, perhaps it goes higher when using Windows 10. As to the hard disk noise, you can only hear it when it parks or starts. During use, it is barely noticeable, if at all. Overall, I'm satisfied with this purchase and it serves me well as an advanced user. This laptop is not only stylish but it is also very thing at 0. But that does not really take much away from the experience. I got this laptop on sale for 329. The ryzen 3 processor is rather fast for daily tasks like web browsing and watching videos on youtube etc which is what I use this system for. If i do load any games on it I will not be trying to run something that just came out. But ideapad 330 15 device is rather easy to upgrade if you know someone who can do that for you. Moral of my novel of a review. I selected my laptop after my current laptop emergency arose black screen and thereafter a noisy hard drive. Due to work-related travel I had to replace it quickly. After hours of using the Best Ideapad 330 15 site online, I found a laptop that seemed to fit what I needed short-term. I checked touchscreen dozens of times as a requirement. This laptop has listed in its specifications touch screen--I stopped there. All the other Specifications items listed were actually in the laptop. This is terribly misleading and defies common English usage. This laptop also does not have ideapad 330 15 radiator or a kitchen sink or puppy either. Should those be listed and then a No put in. Because I am traveling daily from city to city for work for weeks and must have a working laptop at all times, I now have a touch screen-No laptop and cannot readily return it. Otherwise, for the price, it seems to work great. I have had many Lenovos over the years and most have been sturdy workhorses. Hopefully this one, without the touch screen I thought I was buying, will be the same and will be reliable. Computer had very slow start up. I had thought the Ryzen would have a quick start up and fairly quick loading. I was disappointed with all the pop ups, etc. Reviews on this product said there was a minimal amount lot of extra junk ware loaded into the computer, or is that all windows 10 stuff that needs to be deleted, after installing. Then, while trying to put in my info and start up, and etc. I kept getting the McAfee pop -up that said to install McAfee. I kept closing it and tried to continue doing my start up info. McAfee popped up about 4 more times. I couldn't close it or work around it. I didn't want to load it as I wanted to use a different computer protection software. So when McAfee came on and stayed on, my computer was then, unusable, unless I erased everything and started over. I turned it off and didn't want to go back to it. So that is where it stands now. I am going to have to return it. No, I would not recommend this to a friend We are sorry to hear that you had issues with the 30-day trial of McAfee. McAfee comes activated for the 30-day trial. If you choose to use another 3rd-party virus protection, you must uninstall McAfee before installing the other anti-virus software. This is why there were all those pop ups. McAfee though your computer was being hacked. Appreciate the screen and keyboard size. Recharges quickly which is good since it gives you 4 hours although sometimes it seems to need recharging more often--but not an issue. The touchpad seems to be very sensitive--lost my original review--and as someone noted, it appears to take a heavy touch to execute some actions. Afraid of damaging it but I guess I will adjust to the difference between this and my other laptops. But this can be frustrating when you are in the middle of working. I have had it about a month and the touchpad has led me to want to return it but too much work on it. I took away 1 star but I did not give it a poor rating because the issue may be mine. With regard to the touchpad, you can make adjustments to the touchpad in your system settings. You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type touchpad in the search window. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select Additional mouse options for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad. I got this laptop for the purpose of downloading light games like roblox and sims. I wasn't sure about getting this laptop because of some of the reviews. But the specs, was what made me decide on this. I've had the laptop for a few days and I have to say I'm glad that I bought this. My only complaint is, I was told by the salesman that I would have 6 months of anti-virus software on the computer but when I got home there was no anti-virus program on my laptop. I would've given 5 stars if I had anti-virus for my laptop. The free 6-months of anti virus software needs to be installed on the device. There is a 30-day trial of McAfee anti virus software installed on the device. This is different than the 6-month's free that Best Buy gave you. We recommend you contact your local Best Buy location and talk to the Geek Squad about your 6-month's free anti virus software. I check specs before making a purchase and for the price this computer looks great and the build quilty seemd really good for plastic. However, when I was typing I noticed the home button was sticking. Now I really can't use that one button. Not sure if I'm going to do a exchange over a button I barely use but it bothers me it got like this after one day. It could have ideapad 330 15 like that out of the box. I give this laptop 2 yrs of life tops. Speed is good Graphics are good. So far this baby has been great, easy setup and moved all our files from the old laptop with no problems. If we get another 7 years out of this one as we did our last one it was money well spent. Please not this is not a powerhouse laptop, but so far a great entry level laptop to fit the needs we have at home. The Lenovo 330 wasn't what I was looking for, so I returned it. I knew at this low price point I might not be happy but I thought I would give it a try. The computer was easy to set up and at first I thought I would keep it. I only need a laptop for light research and creating documents. I used it for about three weeks and one day it slowed ideapad 330 15 down and began giving me all kinds of errors. I had to do a restore to factory settings to get it back to normal. I took this as a sign of what was to come, if it was doing this after such a short period of time. I went back to Staples and bought the MacBook Pro which was exactly what I was looking for. We are sorry to hear that the IdeaPad 330-15 laptop did not meet your computing needs. Regarding the slow down issue you mention, this system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on Health and Support. In the expanded menu, select Hardware Scan In the window that opens, select Run Quick Tests. This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on System Update. First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select Additional Updates. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If the issue still continues after these updates, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help. I had up Toshiba for some time and it has been very difficult to change an update with a new laptop. I chose Villanova for what it offered but honestly I do not like the new style pad because it's hard to determine what is right click ideapad 330 15 left click when you don't have a mouse and you don't have separate buttons. But it seems like all the new laptops or this way so I will probably have to get a mouse to help me with that situation which I'm not looking forward to. One more thing to have to keep up with. I haven't had not had the laptop long enough to tell you that I liked it or not. I am old school and this is just one more thing I have to get used to. Since I worked at a Best Buy for 10 years and my sister has been employed at a Best Buy for 25 years on the geek squad I always shop for electronics there. I was looking for a computer with lots of storage because I am a photographer and writer. It ideapad 330 15 a little bit longer to power on and load than my past computers, but it is not that bad. The graphics are great and everything else about the computer is great. I would recommend this computer and of course Best Buy's service was great as usual. My mom needed a laptop to replace the one she had which had its frame broken. Although this is a bit big and heavy by today's standards, it's quite good for simple task like surfing the web, word processing, watching netflix videos, etc. The IdeaPad 330-15 ships with stereo 1. For the best audio experience, be sure Dolby Audio is turned on and adjusted to your personal preferences. A Great Budget Buy: this Lenovo gives you what you are paying for and More. Excellent for Students and those on a Budget. The Lenovo Vantage Tool is very Handy for Maintaining the Machine. Only if Lenovo Adds a Tool, where One can Get to Control Windows Updates on their Machines. Thanks I would recommend this to a friend Windows 10 updates are controlled by Microsoft. We recommend you check with the Microsoft Support page for options for delaying Windows 10 updates. The Ryzen and 8 Gigs Ram makes this thing a beast.

If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. The fact of the matter is if you want a laptop for simple web browsing, Microsoft word, and maybe some movies then this computer will be perfect for you! Our preload contains just six hand-selected applications designed to increase your productivity. Speed is good Graphics are good. There are models with touch screens too if that is what you like to have. The power supply cord wraps up nicely into a small cube the tie wrap is enough t go around the power cube. All of this is precisely what this profile is for. Regarding the slow down issue you mention, this system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. But I can't give the Lenovo a good rating if the recovery utility doesn't work, even though the issue we had very likely wasn't Lenovo's fault.
